Start a one to one video call in the Tablow app and share the link. The other person joins from any browser, with no app to install. Whatever either of you says appears as a caption bubble with its translation on both screens, about 1-2 seconds after speech.
The call connects, the conversation does not
A parent or grandparent living in another country. In-laws who grew up in a different language. A friend who moved abroad. The line is clear, but the talking is hard. You repeat yourself, you type sentences into a translator between turns, and not much actually gets said.
A Tablow video call keeps the faces and fills in the words. Each person speaks their own language, and both screens show what was said with its translation while the call goes on. It has been tested across continents, from Canada to Korea.

How it works
Start the call
Open Tablow on your phone, tap the Video Call card on Home, and pick the two languages.
Share the link
Send the link or show the QR code. The other person taps it and joins from the browser on their phone or computer. Nothing to install, no account. Their browser asks for camera and microphone.
Talk normally
You both see each other, and each sentence appears as a caption bubble with its translation on both screens, about 1-2 seconds after speech.

What makes it work
- About 1-2 seconds after speech. Partial text streams in while the sentence is still in progress.
- Both screens, both directions. Whatever either person says shows up with its translation for both of you.
- Speakerphone is fine. That is how most family calls happen, and the captions work that way. Earphones are optional.
- Video and voice stay between the two devices. The call is encrypted peer to peer and is never uploaded to or stored on Tablow's servers.
- Captions are saved. They go to the host's room archive, just like a conversation room.

Does the other person need the app?

Which languages can we use?
The languages Tablow supports for its rooms. The host picks the two languages when starting the call, one for each person.

What if the link opens inside a messaging app?
If the link opens inside KakaoTalk or LINE, the page offers an Open in browser button. Captions work best in the phone's own browser, Safari or Chrome.
What does it cost the guest?
Nothing. The guest is always free. On the host side, a video call uses live minutes the same way a conversation room does.
